Je öfter beim Roulette hintereinander rot gefallen ist, desto größter wird die Wahrscheinlichkeit, dass beim nächsten Wurf schwarz fällt.

"Wenn zehnmal hintereinander rot gefallen ist, ist es ja wahrscheinlicher, dass beim nächsten Mal endlich schwarz fällt anstatt schon wieder rot. Also sollte ich auf schwarz setzen, um meine Gewinnchance zu verbessern. Wenn rot dann tatsächlich zum elften Mal kommt, ist beim zwölften Spiel die Chance für schwarz ja noch größer usw."


Diese "Logik" scheint auf den ersten Blick durchaus einzuleuchten. Auch erfahrene Roulettespieler fallen darauf herein, manchmal sogar promovierte Mathematiker. Es handelt sich hier aber um einen Denkfehler. In Wirklichkeit beträgt die Wahrscheinlichkeit, dass beim nächsten Roulettewurf eine rote Zahl rot fällt, i m m m e r 18:19, unabhängig davon, wie oft vorher rot oder schwarz in Serie gefallen sind. Die Kugel hat kein Gedächtnis, der Kessel auch nicht.


Der Denkfehler beruht darauf, dass die Leute zwei völlig verschiedene mathematische Aufgabenstellungen miteinander verwechseln. Wenn sie erlebt haben, dass bereits zehnmal hintereinander rot geworfen wurde, stellen sie sich die Frage: "Wie groß ist die Wahrscheinlichkeit, dass elf Mal hintereinander rot fällt?" Diese Wahrscheinlichkeit ist in der Tat erheblich geringer als 18:19. Sollte dann tatsächlich auch zum elften Mal eine rote Zahl gekommen sein, wird die Frage entsprechend abgewandelt: "Wie groß ist die Wahrscheinlichkeit, dass zwölf Mal hintereinander rot fällt?" Diese Wahrscheinlichkeit ist natürlich noch geringer.


Hier liegt aber eine im Ansatz falsche Aufgabenstellung vor. Denn die ersten zehn bzw. elf Würfe sind ja bereits geschehen und dürfen nicht mehr in unsere stochastischen Berechnungen mit einbezogen werden. Die korrekte Aufgabenstellung lautet also: "Wie groß ist die Wahrscheinlichkeit, dass beim n ä c h s t e n Wurf rot fällt?", das heißt sinngemäß: "Wie groß ist die Wahrscheinlichkeit, dass bei e i n e m (einzelnen) Wurf rot fällt?" Und die ist eben 18:19 (und auch nicht, wie immer wieder zu lesen ist, 1:1, denn außer 18 roten und 18 schwarzen Zahlen gibt es im Roulettekessel noch die 0, die keiner der beiden Farben angehört).


Angenommen, in einer Spielbank sei an einem Roulettetisch bereits zum 128. Mal in Folge eine rote Zahl gefallen. Selbst dann ist die Wahrscheinlichkeit, dass beim 129. Wurf wieder rot kommt, genauso groß wie sie es beim ersten, elften und 97. Spiel war, nämlich genau 18:19.

   Richtig, die Wahrscheinlichkeit für Rot oder Schwarz ist vor jedem Spiel genau gleich. Die Wahrscheinlichkeit für das Ergebnis des nächsten Spiels ist:
   48,65% dass Rot fällt
   48,65% dass Schwarz fällt
   2,7% dass die Zéro fällt
   Denn weder Kugel noch Kessel haben ein Gedächtnis und können sich daran erinnern, welche Zahlen oder Farben in den vergangenen Spielen gespielt wurden.

   Richtig. Mein Stochastik-Prof würde sagen, dass die Ereignisse "Unabhängig" sind. Übrigens gibt es kaum ein Glüchsspiel, bei dem man eine so "hohe" Gewinnchance hat (soll aber nicht heißen, dass ein Gewinn wahrscheinlich ist-siehe vorherigen Kommentar). Schließlich machen die Casino nur duch die 0 ihren Gewinn (stochastisch gesehen).

   alles so weit richtig. trotzdem wird ein "nicht mathematiker" immer wieder darauf reinfallen und denken, daß es doch anders ist. darum jetzt mal die ganze sache anschaulich betrachtet: zur vereinfachung (es geht ja nur ums prinzip) gehen wir davon aus, daß es nur rot und schwarz gibt. bei einem wurf, rot zu bekommen berägt1/2 (50%); bei zwei wurf zweimal rot zu bekommen 1/4 (25%); bei drei wurf dreimal rot zu bekommen 1/8 (12,5%) usw.. das heißt bei drei würfen gibt es 8 Kombinationsmöglichkeiten. nämlich: rss; rrs; rrr; srr; ssr; sss; srs; rsr. und jetzt der gag: jede einzelne kombination ist gleich wahrscheinlich (unwahrscheinlich) nämlich 12,5 %. bei einem vierten wurf gibt es 16 Kombinationsmöglichkeiten und natürlich ist jede wieder gleich wahrscheinlich auch die kombination viermal rot. betrachtet man also z.B. 10 würfe so ist die wahrscheinlichkeit zehmal rot bzw. neunmal rot hintereinander und dann schwarz gleich wahrscheinlich bzw. unwahrsscheinlich. es gibt halt 1024 Kombinationen bei 10 würfen und jede ist gleich wahrscheinlich. mit dieser vorstellung im hinterkopf, kann man sich sicher leichter damit anfreunden, daß nach zigmal rot die wahrscheinlichkeit beim nächsten wurf rot oder schwarz halt 1/2 (50%) ist.

   Was ist mit dem ganzen Geld was eingesetzt wurde aber keiner richtig war? (z.B. 10 leute setzen auf je eine bestimmte Zahl und einer auf rot, aber es fällt schwarz und keine der Zahlen der 10 leute).
   Bekommen dann die Leute nach deiner denkweise ihr geld wieder oder was? das wäre mir neu auch wenn ich nicht ins casino gehe, da das bischen geld was ich habe nicht für so nen Blödsinn rauswerfe.

   Du musst nicht das einzelne Spiel sehen. Wenn es keine Null geben würde, würde man nach sagen wir mal eine Mio spielen mit jeweils gleichem Einsatz stochastisch gesehen "wahrscheinlich" kaum Gewinn/Verlust machen. Man würde im Schnitt jedes 36. Mal die richtige Ziffer treffen (36 Zahlen) bzw. jedes zweite Mal die richtige Farbe (2 Farben). Kommt aber die null ins Spiel gewinnt man nur jedes 37. Spiel und bekommt dafür nur den 36fachen Einsatz. Hoffe das war einigermaßen verständlich...

   Aber ist es nicht aufgrund des Gesetzes der großen Zahlen so, dass der Anteil, dass bestimmte Ereignisse auftreten bei einer sehr hohen Anzahl an Versuchen sich der Wahrscheinlichkeit für das entsprechende Ereignis annähert? - Sprich 60 mal Würfeln und _ungefär_ 10 mal Eins, 10 mal Zwei usw. haben.

   Jupp. Genau das sagt das Gesetz der großen Zahlen bzw. eigentlich schon das der schwache GdgZ. Allerdings müsste man schon so ca. 10 000 mal werfen um ne einigermaßen zufriedenstellende Genauigkeit zu erreichen. Aber das geht dann doch zu sehr in die W´theorie...
